I know when I was registering for baby items, I was overwhelmed. I wanted to register for products I would actually use. I read reviews, asked friends and family with small children, and googled “best baby {insert product type here}”. Here are some of my must have baby products so far. These are all products I have used and enjoyed with my daughter, Charlotte. I hope it helps you select some products for your little one!

- Copper Pearl Swaddle Blanket – These are my favorite swaddle blankets. They are so soft, and the size is perfect! Plus, they come in all kinds of cute patterns.
- Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit – Great for transitioning out of the swaddle. My daughter started fighting being swaddled around 3 months, but she still has the startle reflex. This helps her sleep all night. 🙂
- Hands Free Pumping Bra – If you plan on pumping, you’ve got to have a good hands free pumping bra (or 3!). This one is my favorite. It’s comfortable, and holds the pumping equipment in place very well.
- Pack ‘n Play – We have a 2 level home, and Charlotte’s room is upstairs. We have loved having her Pack ‘n Play downstairs for diaper changes. The storage on the side is great for holding diapers, bibs, and burp cloths. The removable infant vibrating seat is also a great place for naps!
- Boppy Cover – I would recommend having a few of these. You never know when you might need to have one in the wash.
- Halo SleepSack Swaddle – LOVED these for the newborn stage. Just put your baby in, zip it up, velcro the flaps, and he or she is swaddled nice and tight for the night.
- Baby Brezza Formula Pro – We call this our baby Keurig! So nice to quickly make a warm bottle.
- Hatch Baby Rest Night Light & Sound Machine – LOVE this sound machine. It has several different sounds and lights. You can set your favorites, and you can control it from your phone! It can be used as an “ok to wake” light when she’s older, too.
- Aden & Anais washcloths – These are so soft – great for a newborn’s delicate skin. I also love their hooded towels.
- Halo Bassinest Swivel Sleeper – Charlotte slept in this next to our bed for the first 3 months. I loved that the front is collapsible – made it so easy to pick her up for nursing while I was in bed.
- Puj Infant Bathtub
- Kopari Coconut Melt – Coconut oil is my go to anytime Charlotte has dry skin. It’s also great for “milk neck” – it’s kept her skin from getting red and irritated. I’ve even used it for redness in her diaper area.
- Infant Optics Video Baby Monitor – I can’t say enough good things about this monitor. The picture is very clear, even in the dark. It shows you the room temperature, and lights up from green to red with any noise even if you have the volume down. I didn’t want to have a WiFi monitor because of security concerns, and this one has been wonderful.
- Fisher-Price Deluxe Rock ‘n Play Sleeper – In my opinion, a Rock ‘n Play is a MUST HAVE! Charlotte has taken so many naps in hers. We’ve really enjoyed this one – you can control it from your phone! It also vibrates, and has a few different options for soothing sounds and rocking speed. It also folds up pretty easily if you need to bring it with you.
- Boppy Nursing Pillow – We have 2 of these – one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and have used it everyday since we brought Charlotte home! It makes holding her for feedings so much more comfortable, and now that she’s a little older, we can use it to help her sit up.
- Skip Hop Suite Diaper Backpack– A great (and not super expensive) diaper backpack. This one comes with a Paci Pocket, Changing Pad, Stroller Straps, Bottle Bag, and Packing Cube. It has lots of room for everything you’ll need to bring with you, and it’s stylish!
- Boppy ComfyFit Carrier – This carrier is kind of a hybrid between a soft wrap and a more rigid carrier. I tried several wraps/carriers before this one, and it’s definitely my favorite. It’s very comfortable for me, but is definitely too small for my husband, so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase.
- Owlet – Monitors your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while they sleep. You can use the app to see constantly updated readings, and get alerts if you baby’s oxygen level gets too low or heart rate gets too high or low. This has provided me with so much peace of mind, especially when Charlotte started sleeping in her own room. You can now use HSA money to purchase one!
I had a hard time narrowing this list down to just 18 items! Here are a few more of my baby favorites:
